Add Natural Flavorings to Food and Mix it Up for Variety:

 Fresh Squeezed Lemon

Fresh Squeezed Orange

Chopped Basil or Parsley

Chopped Cilantro

Dried Chili Peppers

Ground Nuts (almonds, pine, brazil, pecans


  • Sweet Potato/V-8 Splash

  1. Soften a sweet potato and mash it with a splash of V-8 drink
 
  • Treat Seed Sticks (Great for Amazons)
  1. 5 Tblsp Peanut Butter
  2. Sesame Seeds or sunflower seeds
  3. Crackers

Mix peanut butter and seed together with crushed cracker.  Smear on a hard service and mount in the cage.

     (Or)

Mix peanut butter and seed.  Roll balls or stick shape in crused cracker and serve.

 


  • Amazon Recipe

  1. 2 eggs with crushed shell
  2. 1/3 cup peanut butter
  3. 1/3 cup wheat flour
  4. 1/3 cup granola w/ raisins (or oats)
  5. 1/4 cup pellets crushed

    Mix all ingredients and bake in pre heated oven at 350 degrees.
    On non-greased cookie sheet place small bite sizes and bake for 10-12 minutes

    Keep in refrigerator or freeze 

 


  1. 3 cans Marie Callander Corn Bread mix
  2. 3/4 cup Harrison's super mash
  3. large handful of Tropical Bits Scenic pellets
  4. Whole thing of plain yogurt (or cuttle bone shavings)
  5. Hulled millet and sesame seeds
  6. 1/2 cup peanut butter, creamy
  7. 2 eggs w/ shells
  8. 2 cups of water that has been boiling
  9. Either spinach, Swiss chard, or mustard greens.
  10.   1 lrg super soft cooked sweet potato
  11.   Pumpkin pie spice
  12.   Dab of brown sugar
  13.   1 1/4 cup small jar baby Apple Carrot juice
  14.   Super finely grated carrots
  15.   Chopped nuts (pine nuts, almonds, etc)

    Mix wet ingredients in a food processor until almost water consistency.
    Pour into a glass bowl with the dry ingredients  and mix well.  Due to rising, fill baking dish or muffin trays only 1/3 full.  Sprinkle w/sesame seeds.

             Bake at 350 for about an hour.  Test w/toothpick.

 


  •  Another Bird Bread Recipe
  1.  3 eggs
  2.  2/3 cup of soy milk 
  3.  2 boxes of Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix
  4.  1 jar sweet potato or carrots baby food
  5.  1/2 cup frozen peas
  6.  1/2 cup pellets
  7.  1/2 cup seed (Pumpkin, millet, sesame, etc...)

    Mix all ingredients in large bowl; bake in muffin tins or baking dish at 450 degrees for about 25 minutes.  Refrigerate some and freeze the extra. 

 


  1.   2/3 cups oatmeal (not instant)
  2.   1 banana, sliced or mashed
  3.   1/2 cup chopped nuts
  4.   1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  5.   1 1/3 cups water

    Bring water to a boil, add all ingredients, and stir for 1 minute. Remove from heat, cover and let stand until cool.
